Dolphin Season is about here, we have been catching them almost everyday for the last two weeks. We do have over 31 years of experience in all types of fishing and you will catch fish with us! We do all types of fishing but sailfishing is my favorite and my speciality.
Sailfish abound in the Atlantic water off the Florida Keys from sometime in September until about May. We specialize in catching these fish on live bait using light spinning tackle. Captain Robert Mathias has been fishing the Restless Too for Sailfish for thirty years. This has proven to be the most productive, exciting method for catching these magnificent billfish in the Florida Keys. (This sailfish season has been the best I have ever seen in my over 30 years in the Keys. New records have been set in every tournament for the number of sailfish caught. The angler in the Islamorada Junior Sailfish Tournament caught 21 fish in two days of fishing!) Most of the time you will actually see the Sailfish before it eats the bait. We use 12 and 20 pound spinning tackle so it isn't strength, but technique that's involved. Even children can handle this tackle. We have guided many folks to catch their very first billfish, often on the first charter they have ever been on. The goal is to have a good time and teach you what you need to know to hook and catch your own sailfish. Our seasoned crew will explain exactly what you need to do catch these beautiful fish. We are available for the World Sailfish Championship which will be held in Key West April 18th -22nd. This is the grandest Tournament held in the Keys. Everything about it is first class.
